The Pound Euro exchange rate (GBP EUR) is 1.1650, the Pound Dollar exchange rate (GBP USD) is 1.59908.

Euro Crisis Alert - The ECB has announced a cut in interest rates by 0.25% taking it to 1.25%. The pound euro rate along with the pound dollar rate has risen on the back of the news of the interest rate change. The GBP EUR was already up on the back of the news that Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou was to resign and the potential referendum would be scrapped. The news of the cut has come as a surprise to most.
