The Pound Euro exchange rate (GBP EUR) is trading at 1.16752, up 0.4%. The Pound Dollar exchange rate (GBP USD) is 1.60483, up 0.09%. The Pound Australian Dollar exchange rate (GBP AUD) is 1.60483, up 0.71%. The Pound New Zealand Dollar exchange rate (GBP NZD) is 2.01819, up 0.24%. The Pound Swiss Franc exchange rate (GBP CHF) is 1.44081, up 0.86%.

Italy's economy worsens with their rate of borrowing up from 6.37% to 6.53%, in contrast to German 1 year bonds at 0.26%.
Investors are clearly seeing Italy a more risky bet, with their ability to repay their debt becoming more unlikely.

Eurozone discussions over the now 1 trillion euros bailout fund are due to take place later today.
