The Pound Euro exchange rate GBP EUR is trading at 1.16371, up 0.04%. The Pound Dollar exchange rate GBP USD is trading at 1.56489, up 0.28%.
The Pound Australian Dollar exchange rate GBP AUD is trading at 1.52601, up 0.11%. The Pound New Zealand Dollar currency rate GBP NZD is trading at 2.000355, up 0.16%.
The Euro Dollar rate EUR USD is trading at 1.34494, up 0.25%.

An important week ahead for the Euro. Today, leaders of Eurozone's two largest economies meet in Paris to formulate the plan to save the Euro.
Important, as the deadline set by Olli Rehn, economic affairs commissioner, is this friday. Mr Rehn said last week that an unchecked debt and banking crisis
would push Europe into a deep slump.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy in principle agree that amendments to the European treaties are needed, but to what extent remains
unsettled. Merkel wants centralised budgetary control, with the European Court of Justice imposing strict penalties for countries that don't comply.
They will take the proposals to all 27 EU heads at the EU summit on friday.

Euro Crisis Week Ahead:

Monday: German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy meet in Paris to agree plan for amendment to European treaties
Tuesday: US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner arrives in Germany indicating US concern.
Wednesday: European People's Party Congress.
Thursday: ECB monthly policy meeting, where a 0.25% cut expected to bank's current 1.25% rate
Friday: EU summit where proposals put forward.
