Pound Euro rate up, along with Sterling gains for GBP AUD, CZK, MXN, NOK, SEK, TRY and ZAR

The Pound Euro exchange rate GBP EUR is trading at 1.17069, up 0.71%. The Pound Dollar exchange rate GBP USD is trading at 1.56073, down 0.29%.
The Pound Australian Dollar exchange rate GBP AUD is trading at 1.53375, up 0.85%. The Pound New Zealand Dollar currency rate GBP NZD is trading at 2.05050, up 1.01%.
The Sterling Rand rate GBP ZAR is trading at 12.86258, up 1.54%.
Pound Sterling has seen strong movement against the major trading currencies today, including the Pound Euro exchange rate seeing a moderate gain. Most notably, we have seen GBP AUD up 0.88%, GBP CAD up 0.44%, GBP CHF up 0.51%, GBP CZK up 1.42%, GBP EUR up 0.71%, GBP MXN up 1.27%, GBP NOK up 0.93%, GBP NZD up 1.01%, GBP SEK up 1.2%, GBP TRY up 1.47% and GBP ZAR up 1.71% on the day. Sterling has lost ground on the Rand, Dollar and Hong Kong Dollar and is showing a loss of between 0.13% - 0.37%.
British PM David Cameron prepares to face a tough time in Parliament later this afternoon, as he gives his statement explaining his decision to veto the EU treaty agreement last Friday morning in Brussels. He will likely have strong support from the Euro sceptics within the Conservative, however will face strong opinion from both the Labour party opposite and the Lib Dems behind him. Yesterday, deputy Prime Minister and leader of the Lib Dem party Nick Clegg spoke out against the PM and his decision in an interview on the Andrew Marr show. Mr Clegg insisted that the outcome that the PM had chosen left the UK isolated and marginalised within the European Union.
