Pound Sterling Conversion Rate News: GBP Falls against EUR, USD, AUD after UK Inflation Data
The POUND STERLING (currency : GBP) suffered a body blow yesterday morning when the latest UK inflation data revealed that domestic prices had remained static over the past twelve months. The release reduces the likelihood of a Bank of England interest rate increase any time soon and the Pound is forecast to trade on a NEUTRAL TO NEGATIVE footing into the medium term as a consequence.
Euro Exchange Rate Newsflash: GBP/EUR Recoups Losses on Falling Eurozone Sentiment
The EURO (currency : EUR) pushed ahead against the Pound yesterday, sending the GBP EUR exchange rate briefly down into the 1.3500s. However, support for the shared currency eased following the publication of a weaker than anticipated German ZEW Survey in the middle part of the euroland’s morning equities session. Concerns that the regional economic recovery may be stalling are anticipated to see the shared currency trade with a NEUTRAL TO NEGATIVE bias moving forward.
The GBP EUR exchange rate stands at 1.3620.
FOMC Decision Forecast to Impact US Dollar to Euro, Pound Exchange Rates
Much depends upon tomorrow evening’s US Federal Reserve monetary policy statement for investors holding the US DOLLAR (currency : USD). The Dollar suffered yesterday afternoon following the release of a weaker than expected set of August Advance Retail Sales, which printed at 0.2% versus an anticipated 0.3%. A US interest rate hike is unlikely for tomorrow but a confirmation that policy will be tightening before the end of the year will favour the Buck.
The outlook for the Greenback is NEUTRAL TO POSITIVE and GBP USD stands at 1.5360.
Forex Predictions: GBP to AUD Continues to Move Away from Best Conversion Rates
The AUSTRALIAN DOLLAR (currency : AUD) continues to benefit from Tuesday’s promotion of Malcolm Turnbull to the role of Prime Minister in Australia. A stabilising of global investor sentiment has also helped the Aussie during recent sessions, but if the US Federal Reserve suggests tomorrow night that US interest rates will be on their way higher before the end of the year, then the Aussie could suffer renewed selling pressure. The outlook for the Australian unit is NEUTRAL TO NEGATIVE and the GBP AUD exchange rate stands at 2.1630.
